Access Statement For Barn Cottages at Lacock

 

Introduction

We have two self-catering cottages sleeping 4. They are called Maple and Chestnut. All information is applicable to both cottages unless stated to the contrary. • The nearest train station is Chippenham which is 3 miles away.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
 
• Our gates are open 24/7
• The property is clearly signed at the entrance
• The drive is level and is gravelled.
• You can park right outside your cottage if you wish.

 

Main Entrance & Reception
 
• The entrance to both cottages has a step 2cm high 
• The door step is 11cm high. 
• A ramp is available if required
• We can assist with your luggage
• The door is 81cm wide and hinged on the right
• On entrance there is a small hall space,117cm wide

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe
 
• The dining room is open plan with the lounge and Kitchen
• rectangular table(moveable side to side) -legs on each corner
• 73cm floor to lowest point of table (underside) 75cm wide ,1.1m long and 75cm high
• Free space between table and walls is at least 80cm all round
• Chestnut-1sofa with  cushion seat and arms and one armchair.There is a 60cm gap between the sofa and the heater but the furniture can be rearranged.
• In Maple there are two 2-seater sofas with cushion seats and arms. There is a 99cm gap between the two sofas and maximum free space of 150cm by 130cm
• Flooring is tiles throughout.
• Furniture is moveable and non -feather
• Teletext TV with remote control as wellas DVDand CD player with radio and tape

 

Laundry
 
• There is a separate utility room accessed by a key. The step is 1cm. The door is 79cm
• There is a standard size front loading washing machine and tumble dryer
• There is  a freezer above the tumble dryer . The lowest basket is 127 cm.

• The upstairs  bedroom is unsuitable for any one with motor or visual impairments due to the nature of the stair case.
• Downstairs double bedroom-door width 72cm

• Bed height is 54cm
• Non feather and hypo-allergenic bedding provided

• Largest transfer space to right or left of bed is 50cm
• Bed moveable if more space is required to one side
• Largest free space is 160cmby 110cm

• Shower not bath. Entrance to shower is 35cm by 35cm
